Aardvark
Web Services takes measures on several fronts to protect
your messages from being read by third parties without
your explicit permission. In our applications, we use
the latest Internet technologies to ensure that your
data are only accessible to you by using your userid
and password; our technologies are built to prevent
access by third parties. In addition, our data center
is secured with firewall and encryption technologies.
Messaging is private correspondence between the sender
and the recipient. We strictly respect the privacy
of our users. Therefore, we will not provide the User's
information to third parties as an individual with
such information as name, age, or gender. In addition,
we will not monitor, edit, or disclose the contents
of a User's private communications unless required
to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such
action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edicts of
the law or comply with legal process served on Aardvark
Web Services; (2) protect and defend the rights or
property of Aardvark Web Services; or (3) act under
exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety
of our Users or the public.
User acknowledges and agrees that Aardvark Web Services
neither endorses the contents of any User communications
nor assumes responsibility for any threatening, libelous,
obscene, harassing or offensive material contained
therein, any infringement of third party intellectual
property rights arising therefrom or any crime facilitated
thereby.
User acknowledges and agrees that certain technical
processing of messages and their content may be required
to: (1) send and receive messages; (2) conform to connecting
networks' technical requirements; (3) conform to the
limitations of the Service; or (4) conform to other
similar requirements.
We do not tolerate spam (unsolicited e-mail) of any
kind. Any subscriber found sending spam will
have their account terminated and will immediately
forfeit any and all fees they may have paid to us. In
addition, mass-mailing abuse fines may be assessed.
Our "normal" e-mail accounts cannot be used
for any mail list purposes. This also includes
using our accounts as a reply-to, return, or bounce
address for other 3rd-party mass-mailings. For
those functions we offer an optional listserv that
can be added to your account or used independently. The
listserv provides newsletter and discussion list capabilities. Any
subscriber found using a normal e-mail account for
mass-mailing purposes will be charged a mail list fee
equivalent to the number of e-mails transmitted and/or
received. In addition, an account abuse fine
of $200 will be assessed to the subscriber each time
a mass mailing is detected without using the listserv.
